In this way, the entire educational community expresses its commitment and is involved in the implementation of the Program.īilingual schools must teach at least 30% of the teaching time in English. The educational project presented by the school that chooses to become bilingual must have the majority support of the Faculty of Teachers and the School Council of the center. Although at first it began in the first year of Primary Education, so that each year it was gradually implemented in the rest of the levels until the entire stage was covered, from the 2017-2018 academic year it began to be extended to the second cycle of Education as well. The Program for bilingual schools in the Community of Madrid, which began in 2004, is carried out in public centers for Early Childhood and Primary Education selected by the Ministry responsible for education.
